Episode 21: It took some time to get this one ready for you and I hope you’ll find it worth the wait. I had a chat with my new friend, Bob Luckin, a while ago and he has some great suggestions of music to listen to and videos to watch that just might make you feel better but mostly, that might lift your soul. Episode 20: This is a monumental task to get these podcasts put together and up to my standards for listening and dancing pleasure. Haha. Im finding that music can lift a weary soul and mine is weary from all the politicking and Covid crap. I wanted to play happy upbeat tunes so grabbed The Doobies with an invitation and played Pink Floyd from my Obsured by Clouds LP. The music from Steve Winwood is spotlighted today, there’s a song by Heart, a fave of mine from Marc Cohn, Walking in Memphis, and a few more. Hope it’s a good one for your ears and your head. Episode 16: We have a nice chat with our friend, Brant Miller, a songwriter and guitarist who lives in Nashville and has a new CD out that’s getting some nice accolades around the country. I surprised Brant by asking him to play a popular song he co-wrote and we have it live, as it happened, on this interview. Also, we have music from Cream, Buddy Guy and two guys from the Moody Blues. Episode 15: I never imagined that we’d get this far in episodes but because i’ve gotten positive feedback, it’s continuing to inspire me. The LPs are numerous and the ideas continue to flow, so hope you’ll give a good listen to this new one, with music from The Band, John Prine, Flash (promised you this one many episodes ago), Dave Mason, Delaney and Bonnie, a great tune from an artist’s first solo LP (actually it was a triple LP set and had Derek and the Dominoes minus Duane on it) and a few besides those. Special Episode: It’s patriotic to protest and in response to the deaths of numerous African Americans like George Floyd, Aumaud Aubery, Freddie Gray, Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Breonna Taylor involved with white police officers or those who think they have the authority to take a life, I am moved, in truth infuriated, at the way these brothers and sisters have been killed. This is my protest episode. Weep, scream, do what you need to do to stay sane, but most of all, Protest! Take peaceful action. Get involved to bring about peace, equality and justice for all people.
