Episode 15

Episode 15: I never imagined that we’d get this far in episodes but because i’ve gotten positive feedback, it’s continuing to inspire me. The LPs are numerous and the ideas continue to flow, so hope you’ll give a good listen to this new one, with music from The Band, John Prine, Flash (promised you this one many episodes ago), Dave Mason, Delaney and Bonnie, a great tune from an artist’s first solo LP (actually it was a triple LP set and had Derek and the Dominoes minus Duane on it) and a few besides those. Thanks for listening!

Episode 14 Interview with Bill Davis

Episode 14: Here’s an interview with my friend of 50 years, Bill Davis. We talk about our work together at WMUM and WBUS, along with some memories of our colleague, Gil Colquitt, who pushed hard to get Bruce a gig. That’s as in Springsteen. Another summer fun time episode. Allmans, ELP, Sly and The Band. Enjoy the tales Brian and Bill tell.

Episode 11 Protest Songs Special Episode

Special Episode: It’s patriotic to protest and in response to the deaths of numerous African Americans like George Floyd, Aumaud Aubery, Freddie Gray, Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Breonna Taylor involved with white police officers or those who think they have the authority to take a life, I am moved, in truth infuriated, at the way these brothers and sisters have been killed. This is my protest episode. Weep, scream, do what you need to do to stay sane, but most of all, Protest! Take peaceful action. Get involved to bring about peace, equality and justice for all people.

Episode 10 About Truth

Episode 10: Let’s call this the second season opener. It’s about truth. It’s about honesty…in all things. I’m working on it and see some holes in my life. This one rocks quite a bit with Derek and the Dominoes, Liar, Jeff Beck, Journey and more. Happy listening! Join the Tales Vinyl Tells Album club and get notice of every episode upload.
